The other day I received these glides as a free sample from 3M. Great timing on them offering these samples because I have an old chair that I was about purchase some but waited until I got these. Just a few taps of my hammer and I had each one installed on the chair legs easily enough. Moving the chair around is so much nicer now without scratching up my hardwood floors and making some awful noises. I HIGHLY recommend these to anyone needing this type of product. Much better than those stick-on felt glides.

Easy to attach and reduced the noise of moving chairs on tile floor

I was lucky enough to get these to review because I had been looking for something like this in the stores and wasn’t able to find the right size. I love that they are smaller and have felt at the bottom because I put them on a storage box foot stool that also doubles as quick seating from time to time. They aren’t that tall either so you cannot really even see them, which I really like.
They are holding up great and they were so simple to just tap in place. These glides are just the right size and once this product hits the stores I’m going to purchase some for my dining room chairs as well.

Our entire home has hardwood floors, so we are always on the lookout for items like this to protect our floors.
The glides work very well, I would just suggest that they are best suited for light duty use. The padding is sufficient for a light chair or stool and perhaps a light table. I suspect that frequent use will create wear but I haven’t had them long enough to really say.

Super easy install, just a little hammering required. Was a little worried about using these on my new dining room chairs but no problems whatsoever. I love that you can’t really see them once the chair is upright. Perfect way to protect my floors and my ears! Hated the sound of chairs scraping on tile

Tip installation is easy and self-explanatory, just tap in place with a hammer. Old tips were nail type gliders.
When the tips fell apart the nail remained flush with bottom of the chair leg and cannot be removed. The metal cylinder can be centered over the nail providing tip installation centered on the leg bottom.
When the felt pads wear out, they can be removed and replaced with new felt pads. Great design

Used this on a chair that was leaving scratches on my new floor. Was easy to install, the chair moves easily, and best of all no more scratches! The product was provided to me free for my unbiased review. So glad they sent it, I will be buying more.

They do not slide at all. We have to lift the chairs in order to move them.

Easy to hammer into furniture legs, sturdy, protects hardwood from scratches as furniture shifts around.

We had a nightstand that was missing one of its feet. We pulled off the others and used these to replace all four feet so that it was even. They nailed in smoothly and appear to be holding. They seem great for protecting the floor and allowing the furniture to be pushed around the floor.

We have hardwood floors and my wood dining table chair legs are ruining the floor and getting ruined in the process. I hammered these in and now my chair glides smoothly on the floor—and NO screeching of wood on wood either! Very nice!
I am a product reviewer for 3M and I received a pack of 4 for my honest opinion.
I will definitely buy more for my other other chairs.

3M gave me a free sample of this product to evaluate….. I am very happy with them. My husband attached them to a chair and right away I noticed a difference in the “glide” of the chair on the floor. There is a big difference in the feel of this chair vs my other ones on the floor. Both me and my floors love them!!!

This is the glider that actually nails into the leg of the chair, couch, table, whatever. These are the most durable floor protector I’ve found yet. The peel and stick are great when applicable but these really are superior to them.

Sliders, perfect for kitchen tile floor

I received a free sample from 3M for my review. I used these on the bottom of a kitchen chair. Since I have hardwood floors in my kitchen and dining area I was looking for something that would stay on and not scratch the floor. I was very pleased with how easily these went on. They work wonderfully and I do not have to worry about them coming off, as sometimes happens with the stick-on pads.

Scotch Glides (for Hard Floors), Nail-in Felt were easy to nail into the bottom of the chair legs and they work beautifully! My chair now slides across my hard wood floor because of the felt without the worry of scuffs or scratches! I will be buying some more of these for my other chairs as well. I just wish these came in a bundled package enough for four chairs. Other than that they are easy to install and work great!

My old hope chest had no ‘feet’ so it would scuff our engineered-wood floor when accidentally scooted around. Stick-on felt circles never stayed on, so these nail-in glides looked like a good solution. I drilled very thin pilot holes in the bottom of hope chest at each corner (as product instructions suggest), inserted each glide & barely had to tap them in. Nice to have no more scuff marks on the floors!

I received a sample of these glides from 3M to try and to review, and I am glad I did. I have been using those felt stick on pads on my chairs to try and protect my hardwood floors, and found that I was having to replace them more often than I care to. Sometimes I wouldn’t realize one came off, and would end up scratching my floor when sliding my chair on it.
These seem to be the solution I need! I just tapped them onto the bottom of my chair legs and no more worries about them coming off and my chair scratching the floor. I have an antique wooden table and chairs in my kitchen and hardwood floors, so I needed something that was not only going to be easy and safe to apply, but that was also durable. The bottom surface is so smooth that my chairs truly do glide across the floor now, even much better than the felt pads I have used in the past.
If you have hardwood floors, and want to keep them scratch free, I truly do recommend these Nail in Felt Glides.

I received a sample from 3M to evaluate. I received Scotch nail-in felt glides and have placed them on the legs of a bar stool. We have hard wood floors and this product helps the a tool to glide without damaging floors. Since then we have also bought other glides from Scotch and have worked great on carpet and linoleum. I highly recommend these chair glides.

Added these pads to my oak chair. Definitely recommend pre-drilling into oak since it’s so hard. It would be helpful if the directions indicated a recommended drill bit size (my husband is handy so it wasn’t an issue). The felt pad is just slightly thicker than the outside plastic ring so we are expecting the pad to compress over time, thus causing the plastic ring to rub on the floor – but time will tell.

This has longer, stronger nails and plastic than the ones I replaced. Stronger material, not worried about hammering into chair legs!

(I was provided a free sample of this product in return for an honest review)
In my kitchen, I have an island with 2 bar stools. I attached the Scotch Glides to the bottom of one bar stool, so I could compare how it worked, as compared to the bare wood legs of the other. It’s a wonderful help – the glides cut down on the noise, help move the stool very easily, and generally help cushion the legs from the floor. This is a win!

I received Scotch Nail-in felt glides to evaluate. Opinions are 100% my own. These glides were easy to attach to my chairs. I do however recommend drilling a small hole in the center of the base of the chair leg before trying to hammer them in. They seem to stay in place well. I tried them on both hardwood floors and linoleum. I definitely would recommend them on the hardwood floors – they glide well on those. I believe these will last longer than the stick on felt circles I had been using.

There is a huge unmet need, for glides to be on the bottom of chairs, for those that have hardwood floors. Installation was a breezes and aren’t very noticeable when they are attached. These worked well, when not in the chair. However, when weight is on the chair, they did cause some scratches. Did they cause less or fewer scratches, yes, and they do allow the chairs to glide on the floors, when no one is sitting in the chairs.

One of my dining room chairs lost its floor pads and was starting to scratch my hardwood floors. These furniture leg pads solved that problem. I like the cloth material that slides on the floor. Another great feature is that you nail them into the bottom of the furniture, which is way better than using those felt stick-on pads.
