I’ve had my grill for well over 15 years ago and this is the first time I’ve had to replace my casters, Weber made it easy and simple. I was expecting trouble removing the old and getting the new in, but that was not the case at all. 15 minutes and done!

After 20 years a caster on my Weber grill broke. I went to the Weber site on line and quickly found the replacement caster for my grill model. This was the third time I have used the site to order a replacement part and each time the part was easy to find and shipped quickly with regular shipping priority. One purchase was a new set of Flavorizer Bars, another was an igniter kit. These are items that wear out with use over years, so it was great to still be able to purchase replacement parts without having to go out and buy a new grill.

Replacement Wheels are a tad shorter than the ones on the grill. The online recommendations suggest this as a replacement. Probably should have called with the castor size to find actual fit.The grill works fine with these but are a tad shorter and more compact than the original wheels.

I would have been okay if it were pink, but it has to be the same size. Made the assumption this was made for my Weber Genesis since that was my search criteria on the website. Not so. Also, photo shows two, I received one and it took over a month to receive this.

Love all my Weber grills! BUT, my newest Weber Genesis has locking casters that have not worked since day one. Now my Genesis has rolled off the patio in a bad storm. The replacement casters shown on your parts offering are not made to quality standards. Can I get OEM Locking Casters (like the original version – but they work!)?

My Weber Performer grill is 20 years old and still does perform well but the casters, made mostly of plastic, recently totally froze up so I was glad to see the exact replacement was still available from Weber. With a bit of prying and persuasion from a wood mallet I was able to remove the old pair of casters and press the new ones on. Easy.

After 15 years the wheels finally wore out. replaced the wheels and grill is as good as new…. Over the years have been able to replace parts that just wore out… Much better than having to go out and buy a new grill when something breaks.. would have been on my 5th or sixth grill by now…. Starts first time every time… Thanks Weber for making a grill that works and for providing replacement parts with no hassle….

Weber builds their grills so well and then puts these cheap plastic castor wheels on them. They crack, break, and fall off!!! Then you replace them so you can roll the grill and keep it level. Poor design!

I purchased a heavy metal framed rolling ‘cabinet’ with basket storage/drawers many years ago. It had plastic casters on all four corners, but one of them broke. Due to the construction of the cabinet, I could not find a replacement caster with a ‘female’ part, (as is on the top piece of this caster), to accept the tiny metal ‘leg’ of the cabinet. I ordered one of these first to make sure it would work and was delighted. I bought three more (the ‘female’ part that made this work for my cabinet caused it be over an inch taller, and thus lopsided) and replaced all four. To make it even better, each caster has a little ‘brake’. This was a great solution to a problem I thought I’d never be able to solve. I literally thought I was going to have to throw away the entire cabinet over this one broken wheel. Although I’m not using these caster wheels for what they were intended to be used , they are working beautifully. THANK YOU!!

Wheels are much smaller than original. They did not fit into original “Female receiver” which could not be removed from grill without damaging supports, as it was too tightly wedged. I therefore wrapped caster wheel with tape so it would fit snuggly into old “receiver”.

Purchased the casters about a month ago after the prior casters were all worn out.
New casters arrived quickly and removal of old casters and install of new ones was quick and easy. One slight problem is the new casters have a slightly lower profile (not as big) than the replaced ones.

I bought the replacement castors to replace broken ones
the only problem was my old castors had a round leg to insert and the replacements were in a square shell. But I could pull the castor out by its stem and replace into my existing form
they work fine

pound out the old with a hammer and screwdriver and then pound in the square base before you push in the wheel.

Very easy to install. Fit old genesis silver model from 2002. Pop old one out, pop new one in…

Interesting. I bought a Charcoal Performer just a few months ago. Dropped the grate on the locking caster and broke off the clip leaving it permanently locked. There’s only one caster available from Weber and it says it’s for the gas grill. But there are plenty of reviews on other sites where users say you can just remove the plastic housing and this caster fits the charcoal grill. Pretty much true. The metal leg fits neatly into the different, round housing on my Charcoal Performer just fine, and it’s certainly useable. But it’s just as certainly a different size. The replacement caster is smaller in diameter and less wide than the original. Since it’s not much different and there’s a lot of tolerance given the very bendy nature of the grill to begin with, I don’t see a problem using it (and I could just spend another $6 and make the other side match). But thought I needed to temper the glowing reviews here with more accurate information that this caster is not the same size as the original casters on a grill bought just a few months ago–but it will work.

The wheels wore out on my older grill and I ordered 4 new ones online from Weber. They were reasonably priced and arrived within a week. One of the new wheels was defective (the locking mechanism was malfunctioning). I called Weber, described my problem and they sent a replacement right away.

Caster wheel was much smaller than the original one on my grill. The metal tubing did not have a lip on it for the leg to sit in and fit properly. WE had to tape it on so it would not slip out. Have not moved grill around a lot YET so do not know how long this wheel will last.

These wheels fit perfectly. They are easy to install. Will likely need a flathead screwdriver or putty knife to pry the old one down. Suggest you remove the tank first, then lie the gill where the tank was.

These casters are probably ok, BUT they are 2″ diameter casters., not the ~3″ specified, which is what is on my Weber Genesis 300 grill (circa 2007)..

you always worried with an older grill … will these replacement parts actually fit. But it took me all of 5 minutes to get the old ones out and the new one in. Much needed as one of the old caster had broke.

After 23 years the casters on my Weber finally gave out and broke. BBQ is still working well after all, these years. Replaced grates and flavor bars once but have never had to replace the ignition switch. Thanks Webervforba great product.
